Workshop Description and Objectives

Essential oils or lipophilic plant extracts have been used by humans for medicinal and spiritual purposes for millennia. As diverse in properties and chemistry as the plant materials they’re derived from, various oils and their components can be well matched for specific indications and purposes. While there are several routes of administration and ways to use essential oils, use of aromatherapy is one of the most popular, and can provide complementary benefits when skillfully employed alongside facilitated psychedelic use. 

In this webinar workshop, Dr. Ben Malcolm, Psychopharmacology Consultant and Founder of Spirit Pharmacist is teaming up with Dr. Nick Berry, Pharmacist, Botanical Enthusiast, and Founder of Essential Oil Wizardry to bring you a unique blend of lecture materials, structured expert interview dialogue, as well as audience Q&A. Together, they provide an expert overview and framework of how to best incorporate the power of essential oils into ritual or therapeutic uses of psychedelics.

Important Webinar Details

• Registration is 20$ and includes the live webinar workshop, access to a copy of the video recording, as well as downloadable PDF slides.

• The workshop is 90-120 minutes in length and will consist of a 30 min introductory lecture, a 60-75 min structured interview and answer session with Dr. Nick Berry of Essential Oil Wizardry, and a 10-20 min Q&A session.

Dr. Nick Berry graduated pharmacy school in 2009, and found his way into the natural health world, working with essential oils & botanical extracts. He opened his business Essential Oil Wizardry in 2014, and has been able to educate and empower many individuals to take charge of their own health - mind, body, and spirit - through the healing power of plants. Offering over 300 essential oil products, tinctures, perfumes, and custom formulations for brands and individuals, he has built his company as a "one stop shop" for those seeking to enhance their holistic lifestyle.

Dr. Nick has spent many years teaching in-person workshops, hosting retreats, and spreading education to a growing population hungry for more natural solutions. He is enthusiastic about detoxification as a lifestyle, enjoying Nature's beauty, and exploring new cutting-edge health technologies. Nick is a caring and compassionate business owner, mentor, land steward, and loving husband.

Dr. Ben Malcolm, PharmD, MPH - Founder of Spirit Pharmacist

Psychopharmacology Consultant and Psychedelic Educator

Dr. Ben Malcolm earned his bachelor’s degree (BS) in pharmacology at the University of California at Santa Barbara, prior to his Masters in Public Health (MPH) and Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) at Touro University California. He then completed post-graduate residencies in Acute Care at Scripps Mercy Hospital and Psychiatric Pharmacy at the University of California at San Diego Health.

After residency he passed his exam to become Board Certified in Psychiatric Pharmacy (BCPP). He began his career as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Western University of Health Sciences (WUHS), College of Pharmacy before transitioning to his current entrepreneurial role as a Psychopharmacology Consultant, Psychedelic Educator, and Founder of https://www.spiritpharmacist.com

Ben envisions a society in which access to psychedelic drugs in a variety of safe and supported settings is available for purposes of psychospiritual well-being, personal development, ceremonial sacraments, and treatment of mental illness. His focus is on the intersection between psychiatric medications and psychedelic therapies. He has given several Continuing Education presentations to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals as well as published over a dozen articles in peer-reviewed literature relating to psychedelics or psychiatric medications.
