Comparative Pharmacology: MDMA, Psilocybin, and Ketamine

This vlog features a sneak peek at a content module from one of my courses titled 'Breakthrough Psychedelics: MDMA, Psilocybin, and Ketamine' and is a summary discussion that compares and contrasts the pharmacology and clinical characteristics of MDMA, psilocybin, and ketamine.

It's a helpful place to start for a summary narrative of pharmacology and clinical potential of Breakthrough Psychedelics, and I know a lot of you are interested in going deeper and taking your knowledge of these psychedelics to a higher level. This is why put together the online course.

A little more about the course:

The course really shoots to paint a fuller and richer picture of Breakthrough Psychedelics, providing the learner enough background for understanding of scientific basics that allows a subsequent detailed snapshot of each breakthrough psychedelic before touching on advanced topics such as treatment planning, interaction with psychiatric medications, or use of psychedelics in combination.

Don't worry if the content in the vlog feels a little challenging! It's a summary module from later in the course - By the time you've gone through the introductory and substance specific course categories I'm confident you'll have a better grasp on the information I'm presenting here.

I designed the course with a wide variety of audiences in mind and feel it could benefit anyone that wants to take their pharmacologic knowledge of Breakthrough Psychedelics deeper. The course may be particularly helpful for therapists and related mental health professionals and am pleased to be able to offer 7.0 Continuing Education (CE) credits for course completion.

The course is structured into six overarching sections or categories with a total of 39 short video modules of 5-25min in length. The course features about seven and a half hours of online home study content in total. Each section has learning objectives and concludes with a knowledge check or quiz to ensure key concepts are reinforced.

If you enjoyed the vlog, or even if you appreciated the vlog yet found it dense, I'd expect you’d get plenty more out of the course and recommend checking out the course page for specifics.
